At it again, Louise Schultze revealing the secrets behind the importance of networking.

Building long term relationships is the single most important business activity.  Forging long term affiliations leads companies and individuals to becoming unstoppable market leaders. In the current business environment healthy, mutual and growing partnerships are needed now more than ever.

This opening paragraph sums up the goal of ‘Infusion’ – a business networking organisation set to bridge the gap within the Australia and Asian greater business world.  Infusion organises and promotes business owners and professionals from all cultural backgrounds to meet and exchange valuable inside information, and build brands that can withstand the growing competition that is transpiring across borders.

I am honoured that I have been invited back to talk at Infusions First networking event for 2009, about the importance of cross cultural networking and the impacts that networking has on growing your business, and growing yourself.  Here are just some of the points I will be raising about the importance and impact of networking at Infusions November events.

·        Networking allows you to not only promote your products and services to others, it also allows you to educate people about the unique aspects of your business in a friendly approach that can ignite important long term relationships.

·        It has long been the backbone and instigator of fund raising and important business partnerships that most successful entrepreneurs will tell you is one of the most important aspects of starting any new business.

·        Business networking allows you to tap into a synergistic business mastermind group, where business ideas are shared and new opportunities are discussed.

I was very fortunate when I started my first business as I had a wonderful friend Dayo Sowunmi, Managing Director of The Anode Group, a successful businessman and entrepreneur in his own right, that I could lean for advice, support and guidance.  Dayo taught me many things and was fundamental in helping me find my feet in the early days.  But there were times when I had to invent new ways of meeting the right people, and it was through business networking and socialising that I can attribute the success born from these relationships.

Unfortunately, organisations like Infusion were harder to find when I was starting out and I would have certainly leapt at an opportunity to join such a group of businesses and individuals.  Even if it was simply for support, to be around people who understood what it was like to be so passionate about your own business idea – because lets face it, we all have our critics when it comes to stepping out of the square and trying something different.

I invite you to come along at 6.30pm Tuesday 3rd February 2008 at Atlantic Investment Conference Centre, 1st Floor, 446 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000 and join me and other successful business people, entrepreneurs, financiers, government officials and great thinkers for drinks and a chat in an informal and relaxed setting.  Invitations to Infusion events will only be sent to listed members.  It’s free to become a member with Infusion.

I also invite you to list your thoughts and experiences on how business networking and fostering business relationships has impacted your business, and the many ways you can achieve success through business networking.

iBidAM.com supports Orphan Angels & Adoption Awareness Week

Orphan Angels

As part of iBidAM.com’s community awareness and action campaigns, I would like to talk about something that is very close to my heart.  As a parent earnestly waiting on the international adoption and permanent care list, a foster care parent sometimes with up to 7 extra children in my home, I would like to talk to you about a wonderful group I sincerely care for called Orphan Angels.

Orphan Angels was foundered by Deborra-lee Furness, and advocates for reforms through all available channels to provide children in need with nurturing homes. They wish to raise awareness of the global crisis of abandoned children, participate in creating a pro adoption community & illustrate how anyone can transform the life of a child in need.  They strive to create an opportunity for each child to fulfill their birthright and realise their potential.

So I believe it’s now time to……  TALK ABOUT ADOPTION !

Many Australians have been touched by adoption, permanent care or foster care. Most Australians know someone who has been in one of these situations, who has adopted or fostered or even has had to give up a child into one of these systems.
Adoption & foster care has touched us all at some time. However, for too long it has been poorly understood and stigmatised.  It’s time for us all to become adoption advocates and acknowledge past practices, debunk adoption myths, educate friends and family about ethical transparent adoption.

With a little preparation each one of us can do something...have one conversation, discuss one article or one story within adoption awareness week, that will inspire & create greater awareness of adoption, inter-country adoption & foster care in Australia.

Please feel free to contact iBidAM, post a comment or get in contact with the organisers directly if you can contribute in anyway to raise the awareness of adoption and foster care within Australia.

"Be the change you wish to see in the world" - Gandhi

iBidAM is dedicated to causes which raise awareness of the incredible needs that face our children and our future.  iBidAM also adopts the ideal that we are far more powerful in creating change by working together than working alone. And while talking about important issues educates and causes awareness, it is important to remember that a part of being aware issues a responsibility to act.  iBidAM.com and its Directors are dedicated to acting on their awareness, and will continue through example, to educate others on the important issues facing us now and in the future.

We will be sharing with you in the future, plights in which iBidAM and our Directors believe are detrimental to the future of mankind.  We will be achieving this in 4 ways, by supporting, contributing, raising awareness for and taking action to create change, with a main focus on 2 important areas that we believe are the most important issues facing mankind.

iBidAM.com’s dedication to Children in need

Over my fire place I have no pictures of my family.  No famous paintings.  I do have one simple black and white photograph of a child running bare-footed down a sand dune towards the ocean - free, happy and alive with spirit.  The caption below says “A hundred years from now it will not matter how much money was in my bank account, the sort of house I lived in, what kind of clothes I wore or the kind of car I drove, but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child”.  iBidAM believes the single most important thing we can do for our future is to invest our love, time and wisdom into our children by:

  • Supporting new legislation, ideas, organisations and implementations that raise the standard of education and living for All Australian children, and children all over the world.

  • Contributing financially and through service to charities and organizations dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our children.

  • Raising the awareness of the fundamental rights that all children have a loving family, good education, and access to healthy living, by promoting programs and organisations that work towards these goals.

  • Taking Action by actually participating in and “Being the change we wish to see in the world”.

iBidAM.com’s dedication to the Environment

Al Gore said that the single most threatening thing to mankind is what man is doing to its environment.  This is reflected by scientists and environment professionals all over the world, and has been repeated for many, many years.  A repetition that has been squandered and rejected continually by politicians and corporate entities for a long time, in fear they would loose money if they did something about it.  Now the cat is out of the bag and we are now AWARE, that WE, yes WE, are responsible for potentially destroying our planet.  I would like to think my son could look at me in the future and say my mum did everything she could.  Because now, ignorance can no longer be our excuse!  iBidAM will be dedicated to supporting important environmental causes by:

  • Supporting new legislation, ideas, causes, organisations and implementations that raises the standard of environmental & natural living and reduces the carbon footprint for All people and businesses within Australia and all over the world.

  • Contributing financially and through service to charities and organizations dedicated to making a difference through innovation and education in reducing mans environmental impact.

  • Raising the awareness of the simple steps individuals can make that can have long lasting impacts, and the fundamental rights that all living creatures have in equally sharing this planet, by promoting programs and organizations that work towards these goals.

  • Taking Action by actually participating in and “Being the change we wish to see in the world”.

It is my goal that iBidAM is not only dedicated to innovation in the Advertising & Marketing industry, but is above all dedicated to impacting the world for our future, and the future of our children.  You will be seeing iBidAM.com and its staff in many ways, over time, involved in bringing about this change.

I believe it is important that YOU are AWARE, that by supporting iBidAM you are supporting a company who is dedicated to making a positive impact that goes beyond our limits, benefits all and lasts forever.

Please feel free to post discussions and ideas here on how you would like to see iBidAM impact the world around you!  We would love to hear from you.
